Sometimes when someone gives you a gift you don’t truly appreciate it until they are gone. This glass eagle was a gift from my mom shortly before she passed away. I was visiting her and we were taking a trip to the Navy Exchange and saw a man making figurines out of glass. Being that I’m fascinated by anything being made, I stood in amazement for more than 20 minutes watching the craftsman make things out of heated glass. We left and I didn’t think anymore about it. The following Christmas, this came in the mail. I’ve wanted to take a picture of it and today had the idea to put a black light under it to give it color. I’ll probably try this shot again, with a remote trigger to crisp up the shot.
